In a country where young people from the age of 15 to 34 makes up over a third of the population, and that third is three times more likely to be in the grip of unemployment, the creation of businesses seems to be one of the only solutions available.

Checking up on how young people are getting along after their training is an important issue for many organisations but it also presents a major challenge, largely on account of the scarcity of adapted tools.

IECD and “Semeurs d’Avenir” Lebanese association, signed an agreeement, Tuesday, January 24th 2017, with the French Development Agency (AFD), in the presence of the French Ambassador in Lebanon, Emmanuel Bonne, and the Chief Executive Director of Vocational Training of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Ahmad Diab.

Yaman is 16 years old. He lives in Ashrafeyet Sahnaya, in a suburb of Damascus and he dreams of raising awareness among his community with his drawings and paintings.

80 % of the students attending the Family Farm Schools classes in DRC passed the 2016 JUNACYP exams (Professional Short-Term Training National Board of Examiners) with flying colors!
